But now, thanks to the investigations and the infinite curiosity of the man, it is no longer necessary to see Armstrong and Aldrin. Now we can be the ones to travel into space ourselves.

What is the Aurora Station ?

The Aurora Station is the first luxury hotel to be found in space. It is a set of spatial infrastructures inside which there are facilities typical of a luxury hotel.

It won’t be available until 2021, but the company, Orion Span, has already started preparations. It will be located 200 miles from Earth (more than 300 kilometers) and will orbit around it.

The creative company is working hard so that the station is ready in 2021 and begins to receive guests the following year. Its headquarters are located in Houston, but today it is known to everyone. The company’s goal is to satisfy those intrepid tourists and take them to the last frontier of human civilization: space.

Without a doubt, imagining waking up in the morning and seeing Earth years ago would sound like a movie film to us. However, thanks to Orion Span, the lucky ones will be able to make their dreams come true.

Details of the trip to Aurora Station

The future hotel at Aurora Station will have a capacity for six people, although two of them are crew members. The duration of the trip will be 12 days, during which the guest will be able to witness a total of sixteen sunsets a day from the station.

Although it is not yet available, many space tourists have already reserved their place. Of course, both the trip and the reservation are really expensive. The first reservations have had to pay about eighty thousand euros. Of course, you have money back guarantees if in the end you regret it. But how can you regret an experience like this?

A dream, but at the same time a luxury

The hotel has luxury facilities and more than privileged views of our planet. If we compare it with any other terrestrial trip, it is clear that traveling on the Aurora Station and making a space route is within the reach of few.

In total, the experience will cost about $9.5 million. In euros, nothing more and nothing less than 7 million. That is, if the trip lasts twelve days, each night it costs about eight hundred thousand dollars.

However, we have to take into account the endless costs involved in sending a station into space with all the necessary training. That and that it is not a plane trip, but something much more serious. It is going far beyond imaginable borders.

The fuel costs of the aurora station to stay so long are high, since the station has to stay in suspension while it supplies energy to the interior itself.

In addition, there are many security measures. In fact, interested guests have to take a three-month course on how to survive in space with zero gravity in mind, security drills, etc. Once made, they can formalize their reservation.

It is clear that traveling nothing more and nothing less than space is the dream of many. Above all, of those adults who as children dreamed of being astronauts. However, we will have to wait for the Aurora Station initiative to get up and running.
