In the painting there are three layers, and in each of them a story is told. In the first, we see the apostles with their arms towards heaven, except for Peter (his arms are crossed).
For her part, in the second, the Virgin Mary, with a blue and red cloak, flies between them and God surrounded by cherubs. Finally, in the third, God waits for her standing on a cloud, accompanied by a cherub holding the holy crown.
4. The Bacchanal
It was commissioned by Alfonso D’este, Duke of Ferrara, who was undoubtedly very satisfied with the result. It represents a festival of the god of wine, Bacchus. The joy and sensuality that an atmosphere full of wine gives off is felt throughout the painting; some nude nuances the sensual touch.
