And of the most beautiful, we go to the largest of the caves in Mexico: the Dos Ojos-Sac Aktún System. This cavity complex in the state of Quintana Roo has not yet been fully explored.
So far, some 350 kilometers of cavities flooded by water have been investigated, making it the largest in the world of its kind. A jewel that tells us about what the subsoil of the Yucatan Peninsula is like, full of caves and beautiful cenotes.
Barro Basement
If you are an intrepid adventurer, sign up for this name: the Sótano del Barro, in the state of Queretaro. It is one of the most visited and vertiginous caves in Mexico.
Here a large cavity awaits us that descends in free fall to a depth of 410 meters. And down there, since the mouth on the surface of the Sótano del Barro is very wide and allows light to enter, a dense forest has been formed. Amazing!
The Cellar of the Swallows

The Popoca

The Zacatón
The state of Tamaulipas, on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, is one of the least visited in the country. That does not mean that there are no reasons to know it. There are many things to live there, for example, visiting what is the deepest underwater abyss in the world.
El Zacatón is one of the few cenotes outside the Yucatán Peninsula and the deepest, since it sinks to 329 meters. A depth that is known thanks to the intervention of an underwater robot created by NASA.
Spectacular Mexico Caves: Huautla System
