1. Mysore Palace, India

Curiously, this palace was designed by an English architect and its construction was completed well into the 20th century. A fabulous building that was the residence of the Maharajas of Mysore. 2. Topkapi Palace, Istanbul, Turkey

It was the residence of the Ottoman sultans between the 15th and 19th centuries. An impressive complex with several buildings in which rooms such as the harem stand out, in which, it is said, 800 women lived. Luxury permeates every corner, but there is one where it is especially seen: the Treasure Room, in which the 88-carat diamond of the Spoonman is exhibited.

More than a palace, it is a castle, since it has an outstanding defensive system and was the seat of the feudal government of the country. One of the most beautiful buildings in Japan where luxury is perceived in another way: in the elegance of its external appearance, truly wonderful.

5. Palace of Winds, Jaipur, India

It was built by an English millionaire, Francis Cook. A mansion with an oriental air thanks to its circular tower and its red domes and surrounded by a wonderful garden. A place to forget everything in a Portuguese town as special as Sintra.

9. Royal Pavilion, Brighton, UK

King George IV fell in love with Brighton and its mild climate and decided to set up his summer residence here. He then ordered the construction of a palace inspired by those of India. And not only inspired, but he had furniture and decorative objects brought from Asia. Far from those moments when it represented an Asian luxury, today it is a museum.
