One of the best known parks in the whole country is Vigeland, it is for its famous sculptures. It was designed by Gustav Vigeland, a disciple of Rodin who went on to become one of the most famous Norwegian sculptors in the world.

The entrance to the park is very striking, since the statues begin to appear little by little, spreading through this orchard. As we pass we will be able to contemplate no less than 212 sculptures. All of them made of granite and bronze.

They represent both male and female figures, placed in different positions and postures. Some are life-size and some of them include a 14-meter-high monolith that rises to the sky.

As a curiosity, Vigeland himself was in charge of devising the plan of the park, in addition to chiselling each and every one of the carvings that are located there. Today, in this Eden, there is also a museum in his honor.

Construction of the palace began in 1823 and was completed in 1849,  building on 3 levels. The plant designed in the shape of a C is strikingly striking. Nowadays it serves as the official residence of the Norwegian royalty.

As is also the case in other palaces, at their gates you can see the changing of the guard. And not only that, but its gardens are cared for with great care, so it is a delight to walk through them. In addition, the palace is located on a hill, so that from it it is possible to see Karl Johan Street. We are talking about the main artery of the city.
